Wright & Wright has grown steadily since its founding in 1994 by Sandy and Clare Wright. Stephen Smith joined in 2005, becoming partner in 2011. Naila Yousuf joined in 2015 and became a partner in 2020. The four partners head a dedicated and diverse team of specialists in architecture, design, construction, sustainability and historic preservation. Our team grows each year, and is notable for its high retention rate and commitment to professional development. Rob Neal
Director
Rob joined the practice in 2017 having worked in Cambridge following graduation from the University of Nottingham with a first class Masters and nomination for the RIBA President’s Silver Medal. He works on many cultural projects, including the British Museum, the Dvořák House Museum and the Lobkowicz Collection. Rob is passionate about problem solving, master planning and on-site detailing.
Josh Blandford
Director
Josh joined the firm in 2021, bringing extensive experience in heritage projects across sectors in Australia and the UK. He earned his Masters in Architecture with Merit from Victoria University in New Zealand and completed his Part III at the Bartlett School of Architecture, where he received the Ross Jamieson Memorial Prize. Josh is a specialist in Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Ronan Morris
Director | Passivhaus Designer
Ronan has worked on several culture and education sector projects. He is a certified Passivhaus Designer with expertise in sustainable architecture. Ronan earned first class honours from the Mackintosh School of Architecture, winning the Chairman's medal, dissertation prize, and a RIBA silver medal nomination. He holds a degree in Architectural Technology from Technological University Dublin.
Leanna Boxill
Senior Associate | Conservation Architect
Leanna has worked on cultural and heritage projects including the Museum of the Home, the British Academy and the Lambeth Palace Masterplan. She studied at the University of Sheffield and specialises in museum, educational and ecclesiastical projects as well as work on listed buildings. Leanna is a RIBA Conservation Accredited Architect. She serves as an examiner at the University of Westminster.

Helen Hancock
Senior Associate | Office Manager
Helen joined the practice in 2009. She oversees the firm’s legal, insurance and financial matters as well as looking after staff and ensuring compliance. As PA to the Partners, she also oversees office management, managing diaries and facilities, handling calls and welcoming visitors. She admires her colleagues’ creativity and believes in the positive impact good architecture can have on society.
Olivia Forty
Associate
Olivia joined Wright & Wright in 2018. She has worked on projects including St Edmund Hall, the British Museum Masterplan, Corpus Christi College and St John’s College. She is very interested in how contemporary interventions can be carefully inserted into sensitive heritage settings. Olivia completed her Part I at the Glasgow School of Art and her Masters at the Technische Universiteit Delft.
Ben Breheny
Associate
Joining in 2018, Ben has worked on cultural projects including Lambeth Palace, the British Museum and the Royal Opera House. He studied at the University of Cambridge and graduated with distinction from the London School of Architecture. Qualifying as an Architect in 2020, he manages the firm’s ISO14001 accreditation and is committed to developing its sustainability and regenerative ambitions.
Eva Hrončeková
Associate
Eva studied architecture in Prague before pursuing a Masters in Sustainable Heritage at the Bartlett. With a background in preventive conservation, she has worked on projects in Oxford, London and the Czech Republic. Eva is interested in how local climates, natural resources and cultural context shape architecture and how this may inform the passive management of buildings' internal environments.
Beryl Menzies
Fire Safety Consultant
Beryl specialises in fire safety and building control matters both as an enforcer and a consultant. She has been involved in many Wright & Wright projects over the years including the Museum for the Home, Lambeth Palace Library, Lambeth Palace, the British Museum, and various colleges in Oxford and Cambridge. Beryl has acted as an expert witness to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.
Aishwarya Vipin
Marketing Assistant
Aishwarya studied architecture at Kingston University and earned her Part II at the London School of Architecture. While her background is in architecture, she’s always had a strong interest in marketing and creative storytelling. She has worked at several architecture practices where she was drawn to the intersection of design, communication, and branding within the architecture field.
Albert Chandra
Architectural Designer
Albert studied architecture at the University of Melbourne, Australia. He joined the practice in 2023, bringing extensive experience across a variety of projects across sectors in Australia and the United Kingdom. Albert is passionate about technical detailing, rational spatial design and the environmental and social impacts of architecture.
Britt Hill
Architect
Britt completed her architectural studies in Australia and Italy, graduating with distinction. Before joining Wright & Wright, she worked at award-winning studios in Melbourne and London. Britt has a decade of experience in the heritage, cultural and climate adaptation sectors. She’s passionate about designing places that genuinely serve the context and communities they sit within.
Neil MacWilliams
Architect
Neil joined the practice in 2023 with over a decade of expertise as an architect. His specialisations include historic educational and cultural landmarks demonstrating an emphasis on the creative repair and re-use of existing buildings. Neil regularly mentors at Kingston University, examines at the University of Westminster and has served as the South-East Jury Chair in the RIBA Regional Awards.
Frances Muir
Architect
Frances studied at the University of Bath and the University of Cambridge. Before joining Wright & Wright, Frances worked at an award-winning London practice on projects including art galleries, national museums, and schools. Frances is passionate about design in the education sector and has worked for several years as a design tutor at the University of Bath.
Calven Lee
Architect
Calven holds a first class degree from Nottingham and the London School of Architecture. His expertise centres on mixed-use and retrofitted projects in listed buildings, as well as new-build social housing projects. Calven volunteers in the London School of Architecture’s Access and Participation Plan Working Group, providing outreach and equality for underrepresented groups entering the field.
Max Gelibter
Architect
Max joined the practice in 2023, having completed his Part III at London Metropolitan University the previous year, graduating with distinction. He holds a first class degree from the University of Cambridge and completed his Masters at the Technische Universiteit Delft. Max is particularly interested in the resilience and adaptability of historic buildings in informing sustainable modes of use.
Alcan Zekia
Part II Architectural Assistant
Alcan joined Wright & Wright in 2023, after completing his Part II at the University of Westminster where his Masters dissertation was awarded the Sir Banister Fletcher prize for sustainable themes. He has previously worked at a few other practices, while undertaking his Part I at the University of Bath. He is committed to forwarding sustainable design solutions on all of his projects.
Elliot Nash
Part II Architectural Assistant
Elliot studied at The Bartlett where his thesis won the Architectural Review Future Projects Award. He has worked on several cultural and residential projects. Elliot teaches widely, leading ‘Accelerate’, Open City’s education and mentoring programme championing diversity in the industry. Elliot lectures at the University of Greenwich and is a visiting critic at The Bartlett and Oxford Brookes.
James Bearman
Part II Architectural Assistant
James joined Wright & Wright in 2023 after working at Mae Architects and Piercy&Company. James earned his masters with a distinction from Kingston University London, where he received the Jonathan Woolf Portfolio Prize and his first-class degree. James is passionate about spatial design and architectural detailing that considers the use of tactile sustainable materials.
Melis Gurdal
Part II Architectural Assistant
Melis joined the practice in 2024. She completed her Part II studies at the University of Cambridge with distinction, where she was awarded the AIA UK Noel Hill 2023 award. She has worked in Paris and Istanbul, after graduating from the AA School of Architecture. She is interested in designing with the existing fabric for a climate proof future.
Amelia Mills
Part I Architectural Assistant
Amelia joined Wright & Wright following her graduation from the University of Cambridge with first-class honours. Passionate about participatory and regenerative design, her work explores how sensitive, strategic design can enable existing building stock to meet new environmental standards whilst addressing emerging social demands.
Lucy Greenhow
Part I Architectural Assistant
Lucy joined Wright & Wright in 2022 as an Architectural Assistant after completing her First Class Degree in Architecture from the University of Nottingham. She is currently working on the award-winning Museum of the Home, London, as well as a Passivhaus residential project for the University of Oxford. Lucy is committed to building knowledge on and implementing sustainable building methods.
Barnaby Andreae
Part I Architectural Assistant
Barnaby joined Wright & Wright in 2023 after graduating with first-class honours from the University of Sheffield, where he developed a keen interest in public buildings. His final project aimed to establish a retrofitted outpost for the Crafts Council in Salford, earning a RIBA regional award nomination. Barnaby is enthusiastic about integrating analogue methods into the design process.
Michelle Giljam
Part I Architectural Assistant
Michelle joined Wright & Wright in 2024 after graduating from the Architecture and Environmental Design course at the University of Nottingham with first class honours. She is passionate about the intersection of conceptual design and environmental thinking and is a recipient of the Meng Portfolio Prize and a nominee for the AJ Sustainability Award.
Emma Stewart
Part I Architectural Assistant
Emma joined Wright & Wright in 2024. She holds a degree in architecture with first-class honours from the University of Cambridge. Emma is particularly interested in creating cultural and public spaces housed within post-war buildings that are due for demolition.
